Jewelry organizer DIY

What do you do with your jewelry? The things you wear daily? I never really thought about it because I used to not wear a ton of jewelry. But I've been collecting more and more necklaces so I needed somewhere to put them! I have come across a few DIY jewelry organization tips on Pinterest and other blogs so I decided to give it a try for myself.

I just used a 16x20 canvas, some thick foam core, 1/2 a yard of burlap fabric from Hobby Lobby and big push pins.

I didn't even end up using the adhesive because I was worried it would be tacky through the fabric since the fabric has a pretty large weave.

So I just cut the foam so it would fit inside the back of the frame and taped it in place

Then I just took my light duty staple gun and stapled the fabric around the edges, pulling taut as I went and being careful to make the corners smooth

until I got all the way around! Then I just turned it over and started pinning away! One of the reasons I chose to get the thicker foam board is so that my push pins wouldn't stick through the back. I just was worried about sticking the wall or even my hands if I ever move it!
You can find the thicker foam board at Hobby Lobby and probably Michael's

TA DA!!

While I have more jewelry I could display these are the earrings, necklaces and bracelets I wear the most so its nice to have them close at hand! If you wanted to hold even more just use a bigger canvas!!

chicken enchiladas

I found these enchiladas on Pinterest and decided the other day to make them on a special night and they were so good! I didn't change barely anything but I thought you had to know about them! They are really pretty easy to put together and come out in no-time! These are seriously delicious!

What you'll need
10 corn tortillas
2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
2 cups shredded Monterrey Jack cheese
3 Tbsp. butter
3 Tbsp. flour
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup sour cream
1 (4 oz) can diced green chillies

1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Grease a 9x13 pan
2. In a sauce pan, melt butter, stir in flour and cook 1 minute.  Add broth and whisk until smooth.  Heat over medium heat until thick and bubbly.
3. Stir in sour cream and chilies.  Do not bring to boil, you don't want curdled sour cream.
4. Mix chicken and 1 cup cheese along with 2-3 tablespoons of the sauce in a separate floor.  Place a small amount of mixture into a tortilla. Roll up and place in pan.
5. Pour sauce over enchiladas and top with remaining cheese.
6. Bake 22 min and then under high broil for 3 min to brown the cheese.

Yum!!
I wasn't reading Joyful Momma's Kitchen before, but I think i'll start!

globe lights

So, I bought these globe lights (actually 3 packages of these globe lights) for our patio back in oh... February, but I have never put them up!

I am trying to figure out how to hang them! Has anyone done it? I am trying to figure out how to hang it from the side of the roof.

I am thinking I am going string them from the pergola to the far edge of the house by the drain pipe. I think I will be able to use zip ties to connect it to the pergola but there really isn't anything to attach it to on the house.

Hopefully COO (Chief Outdoors Officer) will help me out with that soon so we can have a bit more ambiance in our backyard :) HINT HINT!!!
