Our weekend

Well, there isn't much to report around here this week. We had a really nice weekend though- wish it could have been longer! My parents came in town to hang out and see all the house updates which was fun. We ate our way across the city which is always fun, no? Dinner at Crappito's, lunch at Picnic, Saturday dinner at Raven Grill and Sunday brunch at Le Peep!

In between all of our food escapades we did stop into Berring's- always a family favorite and down to the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. We haven't been in a while so it was nice and we did go into the current exhibit, impressionism and Post Impressionism works from the National Gallery of Art in DC. It was wonderful- lots of Van Gough and Monets that I could definitely live with! HA

OH and while we're on the fun weekend recap- I went and met up with several bloggers that live in the Houston area Saturday afternoon. Megan from Honey We're Home organized it and we had a BLAST just chatting and really getting to know everyone. Here we are outside of the restaurant:

So glad to have met "old friends" whose blogs I've read for a while and meet lots of new friends, AND find out that three of us work SO close to each other! Thanks Megan for putting on such a fun get together!

Oh and I might have gone to super Targ and tried on like 10 pieces of calypso clothing (six at a time of course) and I LOVE them all. Came home with a dress and top with the intention of buying two more items of clothes and some of those tie dyed melamine plates!!
Sorry for the lack of pictures/ home renovations- got to keep it real though- that's not the ONLY thing we do!

  4. Wow, looks like you ladies had fun!

Just wanted to leave a comment and say hi.. I got the link to your blog from Honey We're Home and then looked thru all your pics. I have to say, I love your house and decorations! They're so lovely yet very functional. I hope to be able to do the same with my (future) house someday!
